Toyota uses Bilstein for TRDs for a reason
That shopping cart came out of nowhere! “If you didn’t like this video don’t bother subscribing” hilarious!Love your videos!
Would love to get my truck worked on by you guys. If ever I'm in BC, I'll definitely hit you up.
This is the place to go! Outstanding work is done in this shop. "Pride in Craftsmanship"
Well done, Braeden! I love videos where I get the learn something. There's a product (around $300?) that locks the lower control arms in place or in some way helps with future alignments I was thinking about getting. I don't remember the brand. Do you know what I'm talking about?
Best money I've spent in a while is getting an alignment from you guys. Great video!
Thanks Braeden
More involved than I imagined with the laser-reflector equipment.
I like to remove the clip for the tie rod boot or I’ll spray silicone lube so it doesn’t stick. I had them stick and kept moving the toe back.
This is very thorough work ,
Solid info 👏🏾👏🏾
Great info! Please show in the upper/lower control arm video how to adjust a icon/camburg uca. I have a billet icon uca and no shop near me knows how to adjust them. This way I can walk them through it.
Good info - thanks
🤑😎
Curious as to which setting you had the circlip for the 5100's on?
Blistein the best 💪🏼 less money more quality 🎉
Trd pro please 🎉
Where the kings!
I have a 2018 Nissan titan with 17” Method 701s. I can’t fit a big brake kit as they require 18s and no one makes one anyways. What can I do?
I’m confused… are rock sliders bolted or welded on?! Which method is better? Recently found your channel, as I have a stock 4Runner and need to build it out. 👍🏻🌵🛞
You can go either route! Both can be solid as long as the bolt on design is good or the fabricator welding the sliders on is good!
You guys have absolutely zero idea of what you are talking about. This is like asking a preschooler to review fine wine or cigars.
Deep dives coming soon where we talk piston design, valving, and other details about the shocks. Ian tunes shocks for race teams and we both own shops that rebuild, tune and install custom suspension setups daily 👍
This video was pretty amazing. Nice job!
Curious…what’s clutch fluid? lol
Awesome video! Had the 6112 on my 4runner and leaning towards that setup on my GX460, any updates on when that video will be coming out, super pumped to see it!
This was a really great video. I went to Dobinsons IMS from 5100s a year ago and have been very disappointed. Funny to see these guys have the SAME driving reactions I had because I’ve been wondering if it’s just me. For the money I spent I was not expecting such a harsh ride. I am surprised their final rating put Dobinsons in 3rd because based on their driving tests it looked really bad!
I wanna see how the new dirt kings do
Right there with you, not really sure what my taco will be, but it's a fun journey
About the comment on the finale. You guys failed the highest request considered. I’m upset at the magnitude replenishment of the shock factor and value. I submerged in your channel but previously disappointed and discouraged by the lack of discovery. Love you guys!!
Awesome doing the testing on the 3rd gen saweet
How do they talk so well during the testing with the ome but when the ranking comes in it's they tried to kill them? Definitely conflicting.
Do a budget test, I want to see the bottom performers in this test go up against some rancho 5000’s, Monroe’s, kyb and any other oem replacement shock
follow it up with long travel doing the same thing.
In the mid budget video are the 6112’s gonna be paired with 5160’s?
My Tacoma's previous owner put a cold air intake on it. I hate it so much, and it's so expensive to revert back to the original. It's just louder and a pain in the ass to clean the air filter. I clean the air filter and I'm unable to use my truck for over a day. I got an extra filter, but the K&N website sucks and even though I ordered the right filter with the same number it's a different size in every dimension. It works, but it's an even bigger pain in the ass to get it installed. Right now it just sits on my deck waiting to be cleaned and I just take the truck out of use for a day or two. I want the stock intake.
Awesome video! I’m curious, what tire pressure were you all running? And tire size? I’m new to off road shenanigans, so just trying to learn.
THIS IS HANDS DOWN MY NEW FAV YT VIDEO! Holy hell these guys are great! I want to get a new suspension just to hang out with these dudes. Sooo funny - SUB’d
Could you guys please do a comparison video between the bilstein 6112, 5160 set up and the eibach stage 2r PLEASE! Im debating between the two for my 4runner and I need more information on actual ride quality on and off road. I believe most people can benefit from this comparison as these two setups are the most popular right now. Thank you!!!
I have a '21 4Runner and they seized up on me already. Had to scrap the entire lower control arms and start over. PITA
Yes officer it’s stock
Well done guys ! I know it was a lot of work .....I have eibach stage 1 on my 24 4runner. small bump compliance on road isnt to good . Higher speed small bump off road is much better
That's awesome! But you NEED LONG TRAVEL!!!
Would’ve been nice to also compare them against the bp51
TOYTEC! I’d love to see a test on their coilovers
Round 3 - Dobinsons MRR v. Bilstein 6112/5160 v. Locked
When its time to upgrade from kings to bilsteins..
I got bilstein 5100s on my truck with coils from all dogs off-road and they have been great i hear a lot of people hating on them but they do the job on and off road very well for me. And i do wheel them hard quite a bit and ive been nothing but impressed especially with the the price too.
The 5100’s are great shocks the shafts fail off road in Arkansas with the rock shelves and harsh articulation angles we run down here. I run the Dobinsons in my 4th gen 4Runner V8. The shafts and springs are heavy duty. I have heavy duty 2 stage Dobinson springs those are a game changer on the road.
Hello, my dealership bent a couple of mine from a botched alignment. The body shop said they wouldn’t weld it because that area is considered spring steel. Even went so far as to say that it would require a whole new frame. What are your thoughts on that? Thanks
Kinda sad to see dobinson do so bad. Always had high regard for that company wonder if they’re resi models perform compared to the kings 8112… etc
Very surprised on the Dobinson's. Coming from the Eibach stage 2R that rode absolutely terrible (put 20k miles on this setup) going to the Dobinson's MRR's. The MRR's ride so smooth on road and off. I know comparing a $1400 setup to a $3k setup isn't fair, but to be fair I have rode in a couple 6112/5160 setups which rode 100 times better than the 2R setup. If I would've went with the 6112/5160's in the first place, I do not believe I would've bought the mrr's. Thank you for what you guys do!
Do you like the ride of the 6112 over the MMR? I’m having this debate on a 460
@@scholotzkys395 Definitely prefer the mrr's over the 6112's.
